Focus Jadeline Sdn Bhd was established in 1999 when Malaysia was hit by the Malaysian economic crisis of 1998.  From humble fortnightly report hardcopies - Construction Watch - that reports on Malaysia's construction projects – to now online presence via www.mybina.com.my, we remain Malaysia’s best construction information provider.

Established in 1999, Focus Jadeline Sdn Bhd has continued to gain strength in reporting Malaysia’s construction activity.

We have been steadfastly reporting projects for 23 years. First, through just Construction Watch hardcopies, and now through our website, aptly named mybina.com.my. Mybina means “Malaysia’s Construction”, and as in “Our Construction” industry.

Today, we upload 70+ projects daily.  Our online database has a repository of projects close to 100,000 (excluding archive projects).  Our subscribers range from multinationals to public-listed companies and entrepreneurs.

We would like to thank our subscribers for their support throughout the years, without them we would not be here today.

To our supporters, God willing, we will ride out the Covid-19 post-pandemic crisis together. And we are happy doing what we do because we know we help the construction industry by providing valuable information for the sector and helping its growth.

Our Story: The story of conflicts and challenges and being resilience
When we started the company in 1999, the economy was still in a bad shape. You can say that we are a by-product of Malaysia's 1997/1998 economic crisis.

Back then, companies had to tighten their belts in order to survive. Salaries were cut, working days shortened, and retrenchment was the order of the day.  The construction industry was in a doldrum.

Every cloud has a silver lining - in the middle of all the turmoil, Focus Jadeline Sdn Bhd came into being. Ours is a story of conflicts and challenges and resilience.

You see, back then, construction projects slowed down. Most of the players in the construction industry were complaining about the lack of projects to go around. So Focus Jadeline was established to seek out those developments and compile the information in hardcopies known as Construction Watch. We were looking out for the silver linings in the industry for Malaysia’s construction players. It was a challenging time for everyone.

Ten years later, in 2008, the cycle seemed to be repeating itself. The domestic economy experienced the full impact of the global recession in the first quarter of 2009, declining by 6.2%. And in 2019, there was the Covid-19 pandemic and the economic turmoil that it brought.

Still, today, we are relevant as we were before. A big number of our customers have been with us since we started two decades ago.  We have public listed companies down to one-man shows subscribing to our reports.  We would like to thank them for their support throughout the years, without them we would not be here today.

And we are happy doing what we do, because we know we help the construction industry by providing valuable information for the sector, and helping its growth.
